In England 3,000 children are waiting for adoptive parents. Could adoption be right for you and your family?
Early Permanence placements allow babies and young children to find foster carers who are ready to adopt them later, if the courts decide they cannot be cared for permanently by their birth family.
This section takes you through the adoption process stage by stage with practical information, interactive exercises and audio and video guides.

If you live just outside of these areas, we may still be able to assist you, so please do contact our team to discuss.

Our Meet the Adopters events offer a valuable opportunity to hear directly from adoptive parents in a relaxed online session. Adopters will share their experiences openly and honestly and will answer any questions you may have. Each adopter is accompanied by their Adoption Social Worker, who is also on hand to offer insight and support.
We welcome a diverse group of adoptive parents at our events throughout the year, each bringing their own background and unique experiences. These informal, online sessions follow a relaxed Q&A format, giving you plenty of opportunity to listen, learn and ask questions.
At this event, you will meet Jo and Damian, who adopted two children through Adoption Matters. Their second child joined the family through Early Permanence, giving them the opportunity to provide stability from the very start.
