Plus we'll be inviting one of our adopters to give you a unique insight into the experience of applying to adopt and welcoming your child.

Plus there'll be lots of time to ask all of those questions that are on your list.

CCS Adoption, your local independent, voluntary adoption agency in Bristol, is running an online LGBTQ+ Adoption Information Event to give you the opportunity to find out more about adoption, the children who need adoptive families and CCS Adoption – the region’s only Ofsted “Outstanding” adoption agency. All are welcome!

There will be a short presentation via Zoom with our expert adoption team, who will be able to answer any questions you might have and tell you more about the lifelong support and training we provide. You’ll find out what the next steps are if you decide to adopt a child or siblings.

You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from our LGBTQ+ adopters during the Q&A session and learn about their experiences and the support we provide after adoption through our Adoption Support.

We will be holding this Information Event via Zoom, so if you want to book yourself a place, please use the booking form on our website by following the link, and we'll send you the invite. We work with families living in the West and South West areas of England in Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.

Our online information events are a friendly and informative way to explore adoption, understand the adoption process, and learn how Adoption Focus can support you every step of the way.

These events are ideal if:

• you’re just starting to research adoption
• you’d like a clear, general overview of how adoption works
• you’ve been considering adoption for some time and feel ready to begin your journey with Adoption Focus, an Ofsted Outstanding rated agency
• you’re speaking with local agencies and deciding which one is right for you
• you want to learn more about the children currently waiting for adoptive families
• you have specific questions you’d like to discuss privately with an expert
• you’re interested in early permanence routes into adoption

Each event starts with a live presentation from a member of our team, covering adoption and the support we offer. Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to arrange a private phone call or video chat with one of our experienced adoption social workers, where you can talk through your individual circumstances and discuss next steps.

Thinking about adoption but have questions?
We invite potential adopters considering pursuing an domestic adoption assessment with Adopt London South to join us for an informal lunchtime Q&A where you can drop in, meet others considering adopting a child from care, and get your questions answered in a relaxed and supportive space by the Adopt London South recruitment team. Please note this event is not relevant for those who have questions around inter-country, step-parent and non agency adoption.
