In England more than 2,000 children are waiting for adoptive parents. Could adoption be right for you and your family?
Early Permanence placements allow babies and young children to find foster carers who are ready to adopt them later, if the courts decide they cannot be cared for permanently by their birth family.
This section takes you through the adoption process stage by stage with practical information, interactive exercises and audio and video guides.

Coram Ambitious for Adoption is hosting a free information session about adopting in the London area.
If you live within the M25 area, come along to our free in-person Adoption Information Evening at Coram Campus in London. This will give you the opportunity to find out more about adoption and ask any questions you might have.
Our social workers will talk you through the types of children in need of permanent and loving families, the assessment process and the preparation process for new adopters, how children join their new families, and the kinds of post-adoption support that Coram has to offer.
There will then be time to ask any questions you may have. It’s the ideal opportunity to find out more, whether you’re only just beginning to consider adoption or if you’re further down the line in the process.
To attend this free session, please book a place using the contact details here.

Having a faith or a belief will not stop you from adopting.
Hear from one of our adoptive parents who has a faith, and find out about their experience of the adoption process.
Our welcoming and inclusive one-hour Online Adoption Information Events are open to anyone, regardless of your ability, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender expression, identity, national origin, race or sexual orientation.
It’s a great opportunity to find out about the process, our children, and hear from an adopter about their experiences. We will be answering questions about adopting as a family with faith or a belief. We will have lots of resources and book ideas on adoption to share with you.
We respect everyone’s privacy; you will not be asked to share your screen when you join the webinar. You are welcome to offer any questions you like in our chat box, which we will aim to answer in the second half of the online event.
