In England more than 2,000 children are waiting for adoptive parents. Could adoption be right for you and your family?
Early Permanence placements allow babies and young children to find foster carers who are ready to adopt them later, if the courts decide they cannot be cared for permanently by their birth family.
This section takes you through the adoption process stage by stage with practical information, interactive exercises and audio and video guides.

Start your adoption journey with PACT at an information event
At Parents And Children Together (PACT), we believe that every child deserves the warmth and stability of a loving home. As an independent adoption charity, we've been consistently rated outstanding by Ofsted since 2014, a testament to our commitment to finding permanent families for children waiting in care.
Join us for one of our virtual adoption information events, where you'll discover the joys of parenting through adoption and the comprehensive support we offer to our families for life. Hear firsthand from our adopters about their experiences, engage with our senior social workers, and get all your questions answered.
We're particularly focused on connecting adoptive parents with children who typically wait longer to be adopted, including those aged three years or older, siblings who need to stay together, Black and mixed ethnicity children, and those with additional needs or disabilities. However there are children of all ages waiting for a family so please get in touch if you want to find out more about adopting with PACT.
PACT's mission is to create families, not just find them. We're here to guide you every step of the way, ensuring that you have the resources and support you need to nurture a thriving and loving adoptive family.
Download our Guide to Adoption www.pactcharity.org/guide to find out more. To book a place at one of our informative virtual information events, call us on 0300 456 4800.
